Pop the champaign y'all, this is hands down the best pho ever! The broth is soo good, I could honestly eat it without the addition of the sauces. I had it for the first time yesterday and I am eager to come back and try their bun bo hue.
This place is a super hole in the wall. The exterior and parking situation is straight up sketch! But who cares the food is totally worth it! The interior I would say is very vintage... but it gives it a nice authentic Vietnamese essence!

The pho and bo kho here have ruined pho and bo kho for me everywhere else.
Small, family-owned restaurant that makes better food than your Vietnamese granny (don't tell my granny). I'm always torn between the pho bo (with rare steak on the side, so you can cook it to your liking) and the pho bo kho (beef stew with rice noodles), and whenever I order one, I regret not getting the other. I hate restaurants that put sugar in their pho broth and Pho Hop does not sweeten their soup in order to compensate for a bland broth; it is already the best!
Bring cash and get there well before 7 PM! -

The first time I tried Pho Hop was back in 2016 and I was not impressed at all. This place only charges $5 for a regular bowl of pho, so I had to check it out. The pho was mediocre at best and the service was just OK. If you drive a nice car, I recommend being extra careful because there are pot holes everywhere.
Fast forward to 2019. We normally go to Pho Hung for pho, but ever since they raised their prices, we stopped. I find it hard to pay $10 for a large bowl of pho. Not going to take my cookies like that! With that being said, we recently decided to give Pho Hop another try. They only charge $5 for a regular size and $6.50 to $6.75 for a large, depending on the combination you get. The pho broth is nothing special. Nothing that makes you say "WOW" or rave about, but it gets the job done. For the price, I think it's a steal. If you dress it up with fresh basil, cilantro, lime, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and the house-made chili oil they offer, you will not be disappointed. The house-made chili oil has a kick, so be careful.
I got the large pho dac biet and my wife got the regular size. They use quality meat in their pho and do not skimp out on it! We also ordered a side of banh cuon and it was pretty damn good. So good, we came back 2 days later for another round. This is going to be our go to spot from now on for pho. The broth is not the best I've ever had, but to each his own. The restaurant itself is definitely a hole in the wall type of establishment. The customers that we saw dine in seem to be regulars. The atmosphere is not every inviting. Not a spot to relax and chat after your'e done eating. You come in, enjoy a solid bowl of pho, a nice/fresh plate of banh cuon, and carry on. CASH only! -

[LOCATION/PARKING] Pho Hop has been operating for many, many years. I've lost count at this point but it's in a small little shopping center off Belknap/Haltom Rd. Pho Hop fits under the definition of "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant. It has it's red, vintage sign of the word HOP above the door. You really can't miss it. The only available parking spots are in front of the shopping center and to the right of Pho Hop.
[SERVICE] You seat yourself when coming in. Don't be like me when I stood at the doorway for a good few minutes before another patron told me I could sit anywhere The waiters are pretty quick and straight to the point. After eating, you pay at the register. CASH ONLY!!!!
[PRICES] I feel like they've kept the same menu prices for years now and it's extremely inexpensive to eat here. My small bowl of pho was $5 and Banh Cuon for $6!!! Amazing!
[FOOD] I ordered a small Pho Tai Nam and Banh Cuon. I enjoyed my pho! The broth definitely tasted homemade. I did have to add some more sauces and spices to make the bowl to my likings but overall the base broth was very refreshing. I was also very pleased with the banh cuon. Everything just worked well together with the ground pork and sandwich pork cuts on top. I drenched that dish with all the fish sauce that they gave us!
Overall, I would definitely come back to eat here. I've lived in Haltom City all of my life and haven't ventured into this place until now. I'm actually kind of sad that I missed out on eating at this place before! -

This restaurant been around for many many years and I finally got to try it today. True mom and pop shop. Everything is made with care and effort. Banh cuon is delicious and is a must try here as many yelpers have suggested. They have the spicy or regular pho broth. Today I tried the spicy broth and it was really smooth and beefy.
Don't let the exterior deter you from trying out this place.. banh cuon is a must have!
